Just had the brisket sliders today and they were phenomenal! Had the hot sauce on the side,  but when added it gave it just the right amount of heat! My wife and I had the smoked brisket tacos, the Baja sliders, the Parmesan fries and the fried macaroni bites.
Hands down the BEST food we’ve ever had from a food truck. Period. The ingredients were fresh. The flavor of everything was amazing. Everything was prepared with intentionality and the cooks were super friendly.

I got the Jolof rice with pork and my girl got the jolof rice with suya wings with plantain. Safe to say all the food was absolutely delicious. It was nice that the owner came to make sure we enjoyed our food.  10/10 recommend.

Just got back from a trip to Texas with my girlfriend. We both eat out all the time, we don't eat fast food, so we are constantly look out for places to eat. On the road from Amarillo to Waco, FreshNez kitchen is by far the best food experience we had in Texas. I love all the food I had in Texas, so this is saying a lot. People may be skeptical about this place being a food truck, but please trust me. I was skeptical too. I've tired "good" food trucks before. None of them come close. The owner is extremely passionate about the food he makes. His energy is great. He says he will never serve anything that isn't "great tasting", and I can't say otherwise with the two dishes I tired. I do believe him when he says that. We first just ordered the rice dish with pork and brisket, thinking thats all, and looking for other restaurants to try. After trying the food, I had to go back to tell him how good it was. We ended up getting another dish -Shrimp Tacos - thinking there was no way this dish was gonna be near as good as the rice. I was so pleasantly surprised.
Sadly, I never got to tell him how good the shrimp taco dish was, because we ran out of time. Personally I think it was even better than the first dish. My girlfriend also loved both but prefers the rice. The two dishes we tried were nearly identical in the way that they satisfied us, but at the same time these dishes were distinct and unique. All this to say, I believe anything you get will be great. Lastly, I've never tired coleslaw that I actually loved, until I tired the coleslaw from FreshNez. To be fair I haven't been very open to coleslaw in the past. (maybe I just haven't had any decent coleslaw before.) Anyways, I love the food and the passion this man has for his food. I don’t normally review anything, much less food trucks, but this one! WOW!!! If I could give 10 stars, I would. The owner, Stephen, was so incredibly welcoming and wonderful. I went on a Monday, right before noon, with my father and my son. Food came out in a decent time, not too quick implying everything is premade and not too long, giving me a second to play with my toddler without wondering “Hmm.. where’s our food?”  Food was HOT, seasoned impeccably, and fresh. My son, a typical picky 2 year old, ate almost everything I ordered for him to try. My father cleared his plate, with me following shortly behind. We’re both big fans of spice, and their habanero sauce was DELICIOUS. If they start selling it in a bottle, I’m buying a case. So flavorful, spicy but not painfully so, amazing! Chicken wings were some of the best I’ve had, smokey in all the right ways and cooked to perfection. The brisket? Tender, juicy, flavorful! I can’t think of anything negative to comment on or anything to criticize. The man behind this truck puts his heart and soul into this business. In every bite you can taste the care and love that went into making it. I will be back, I will be bringing my friends here, and I will be telling everyone I know to stop by and give Freshnez a try!
